As It Turns Out, The Packers Are Actually WORSE At Revenge Than SF
You know what’s crazy? It’s actually more riveting at this point to watch the G-Men struggle against a squad like Cleveland or Tampa Bay instead of playing a supposed NFC juggernaut looking to expose them as frauds. Besides Carolina, the two biggest ass-whippings Big Blue have dished out were at Frisco and now against Green Bay. I thought these were supposed to be competitive games between the NFC’s elite? I was under the impression that teams who claimed their exits from the playoffs were flukes would actually put up a little bit of a fight to prove their points the next time paths crossed.
The Packers were hot, huh? 5 in a row? Maybe a streak including STL, Jax, AZ & Detroit isn’t all that impressive. Sure, all those wins are better than getting romped by Cincy, but they don’t mean a thing when it comes to being the team to beat. Everyone claimed the Giants’ first Super Bowl W over New England was luck…until they did it again. San Fran were the early kings of the conference this year after decimating the Jets & Bills by a combined 79-3…until they outdid their 2011 finale with a 26-3 loss against the G-Men. Now comes Green Bay ready to back up their “The fact is, [the Giants] didn’t beat us; we beat ourselves” mantra…only to get their asses discount double-checked worse than the initial beating. Just getting old & boring now. All it took was a perfectly timed bye week & the facade of a legitimate threat to get Big Blue healthy & clicking on both sides of the ball again. Thanks, cheesedicks.
In true Blue fashion though, there’s gotta be some adversity to come from a 38-10 thrashing. After a night of fellating myself to the possibilities of a healthy Ahmad Bradshaw (10 carries, 58 yards & a TD)/Andre Brown rushing tandem (13 carries, 64 yards & a TD), the Giants suffer a devastating blow & lose Brown to a broken leg. Not only is it a shitty hand dealt to a dude who finally found some success after being cut from team after team, but it puts a frail Bradshaw right back into the role of workhorse that seemed to break him down after the win over the Niners 6 weeks ago. Hard to believe he’ll hold up, but a MNF beatdown of the Skins will give a nice division cushion & could go a long way toward Coughlin allowing David Wilson to pick up some slack.

6 of their top 10 players were out. . . hold on.
cool story brah. don’t forget to include other facts though. like the packers missing matthews, woodson, shields, bishop, perry, wilson to injury. 6 starters on defense all injured makes a difference and they’re replaced with mainly rookies. and greg jennings, cedric benson out on offense. but all that is irrelevant i guess. then you mention “5 in a row?” and list off 4 teams but don’t include Houston who had the 2nd best record in the nfl when packers destroyed them worse than they got destroyed last night
Giants vs. Pats again this year…
@reppinme,5minutes, those are excuses for the GB defense. How do you defend 10 points by their offense? The G-Men were in Rodgers head for the 2nd straight game and the packers had no chance in this game, regardless of who was healthy or not
haha @reppinme you stupid bitch. the Giants have dropped 32+ ppg in the last THREE meetings. I dont give a shit if Clay Matthews was playing or Charles Woodson, Eli’s got the Packers number. Giants may shit the bed against the lessah thans but against the cream of the crop, they always rise to the top. Enjoy fighting for the division. Hopefully the BEARS can actually kick the Packers out of the playoffs instead of depending on the G men to do it for them.
Because those starters really made a big difference in Lambeau in the playoffs… I can see arguing injuries when you lose close, but man, 75-30 in two games. It’s pretty clear who the better team is.
I love the excuses..when we beat other teams that don’t have 53 suited up and healthy it’s not a deserved win. But when our guys get hurt and we have to play with Ramses Barden, Ruben Randle, and fkn Jayron Hosely nobody on the Giants says shit. “Next Man Up”, hows it’s always been for years. If you can’t win with the people on your team, starters or not, then get some fuckin depth. We won the goddamn Super Bowl in 2007 with ROOKIES. Steve Smith, Bradshaw, Boss, Aaron Ross, Jay Alford etc. Any team can win games doesn’t matter if you have veterans or not. It’s about the heart of the players on the field.
NFL just got put on notice, the sleeping Giants are awakened.
@reppinme – you’re right, I left out the HUGE Packers win against a non-conference opponent with the overhyped defense that’s since given up 68 points & 800 passing yards the last two weeks. A Houston team that’s supposedly one of the best in the NFL – yet the Pack hung 42 on them in their own house without the same two offensive players you mentioned (Jennings & Benson) missing last night. Definitely hang your hat on that game. It’s just weird how that same offense of Rodgers/Nelson/Cobb/Finley could only muster 10 against a Giants’ pass defense ranked in the bottom 5 of the conference. Must’ve been a fluke…again. Those lucky, lucky G-Men…
I’m just glad the giants won so I’m one week closer to not having to hear Jerry Jones talk about some fantasy land playoff run.
