But isn't that small profit really them taking it in the ass after expenses? I mean...if you group the "in" of the sportsbook vs. the "out" (beer, food, lights, etc)?

Yes, they took it in the ass regardless of what they had to report to NV. Divide that paltry # by the hundreds (thousands ?) of casinos in Vegas and they lost, some much worse than others. It was a well-liked favorite (vs. a villainous 'dog in Big Ben) that covered and the game went way over. Throw in parlays, teases, and the fact that 80% of guys play faves and those guys got fucked.
