I would imagine that this was some type of sexual assault. If you are going to be sick enought to kill the mother (over drugs or money), why let the young child live? The car was in a parking lot with flashing lights.... either she had car problems and some sort of predator found and killed her or somoene cared enough about the child to put on the hazards. Either way its a sad story.

Haven't heard anything like that. She could have very well been taken from Maine and driven here. Until they release the autopsy its all speculation.

WMWV-FM reported yesterday that a Conway police officer questioned two men who were walking on a road near the ski area just before midnight Tuesday. The men, one of whom had the same last name as the baby’s father, told police they were friends of Dittmeyer’s, went to Cranmore to look for her, and found one of her flip-flops.

The fact that they are saying there is blood in the car, and the flashers were on, is leading me to think that someone wanted to make sure the baby was found safe. A random guy/girl probably might have left the kid, but not cared enough to turn the hazards on. Unless we are talking severe sicko serial killer. Not that a sane person could do something like that anyways.
