I was admittedly late (but only because there was nobody collecting at MM). But I paid points to AY for the tardiness (used snailmail).
This is truly embarrassing though, running a pool and making the winner track down the winnings. Whoever runs the pool is responsible for paying and collecting, even if it's out of his/her pocket til they collect.
