I meant wait til iPad 2 comes out (rumored to be within a few months) and buy the original version because it will be cheaper after the new version is released.

Flash isn't a deal-breaker for me (though it is ridiculous Apple can settle that shit). Not sure I ever used a memory card so not really an issue there.

I'd splurge for the 3g though, it's a nice luxury to have. Don't need to sign up for a contract, just 25 (I think) a month for 4GB of data with no commitment. I used it for a month in may/june for a trip and a couple of weekends home. beats the shit out of hauling a laptop around.

Only reason I was gonna hold off on iPad 2 would be a couple months to weed out potential bugs (like 2nd iPhone) but it's already out and I haven't heard anything bad. So I'll pull trigger on it tmw.

Ipad 2's are very nice. Skinnier than the original, they have a longer battery life and the price isn't too steep either. I haven't heard a single complaint and we've deployed about 35 of them.

Went 0-for-Salem for iPad so just ordered it online, only takes like 3 days.

Kind of strange that you can't pay for an item then come back in to pick it up when it gets in.
