NYC for weekend need some ideas

its my semi annual weekend in NYC ..

have tix to game 6 of NYK/celts friday night .. yes mca there will be a game 6

so looking for usual steak or italian for saturday.. can be cheap can be expensive just looking for good..

ill be honest I have not been to any of the hi end italian spots yet .. locanda verde bobby d's spot in tribeca was great last time though.. my buddies always rave about esca? for steak done all the old schools like lugars, sparks, keens already..also done bradys favorite spot blt prime and strip house.. minnetta tavern was cool last time as well but want something new.. just throwing out where i have been to give you locals an idea..

My favoirte Italian (Italian influenced anyways) place is Spigolo on the UES.

It is REALLY small so getting a reservation is tough unless you're willing to eat off peak (9:30 or 5:30) but it's been top notch everytime I've gone. It doesn't have a lot of fanfare or anything like that, but it's the equivilent of a Phantom hidden gem

I'm a fan of Barbuto as well.

place called bills burger bar in nyc ..fat cat burger comes in english muffin with carmelized onions and cheese .. has entered my top 3 burger rankings..any of you nyc folks tried?

went to Nino's Tuscany tonight. Great stuff.

Shared Calamari app and Shrimp Scampi w/ white beans app.

i got Veal Scallopine and it was the best Veal dish i've ever had.
