The way they code the vehicle is stupid anyway. The middle number should 2 be for the front wheel drive and 4 for the 4 wheel drive.

I really like the new Escapes, much better than the older ones. I rented one for me and my boys to go out of town(wife won't drive my car so I couldn't take hers) and loved it. It is probably what I'm going to buy for my wife's next car once we can safely downsize from the Rendezvous.
