I was at Friday's game and, after last years season ending debacle in Baltimore, I was sure the Sox would come out with some fire after watching the Orioles celebrate like the won the goddam World Series.... and instead they get swept, at home, and showed no life in doing so.... Pathetic.

It was an amazing night. At the very same time the Sox were finishing off KC the Celtics were 8 seconds away from losing, then Rondo stole the ball and wound his way downcourt and dished off for the series clinching hoop instead of losing his dribble and throwing the ball away. An amazing turn of events. Really.

I like Cody Ross but he is a terrible outfielder. Though Joyce would have scored on the ensuing base hit after the fly ball, Ross completely butchered that play and in a tight game those plays have to be made.

Seems to me he could play LF in Fenway way better than RF

The Sox are 500 but I am enjoying watching this team right now. They seem to be putting it together and whatever was said at that players only meeting seems to have worked.
