When did comedy stop being clever and just become a string of shock value non-sequitors? I want to say it was Billy Madison and Adam Sandler's whole schtick. Try to picture Johnny Carson watching SNL and seeing his reaction to the "comedy". I'm just sick of pretending everything Will Ferrell does is hilarious. How many times can you laugh at these bits that are nothing more than "off the wall" gags that are supposed to make you shrug your shoulders because each one made less sense than the last.

The Hangover was the most recent comedy that comes to mind that brought clever wit to the table. I kind of feel like one of those guys that says things were "better in my day". But when it comes to comedy I really feel like that's the case. I haven't really liked a sitcom since Seinfeld.

It's kind of boils down to the difference between The Simpsons and Family Guy. One is genius and the other was funny for the first season.

The American comedy scene is a shell of its former self. There are hardly any transcendent comedians anymore. Louis CK best in game right now...and he doesn't even crack top 10 of all time (and I'm a fan).

There will never be anything as funny as "Eddie Murphy Delirious".

I'm not sure but he thinks that is why it became so painful again last night. I'm having so much fun with this fucking knee!

I get it sometimes if I eat a ton of seafood....but only in my feet (big toe)...never heard of it in someones knee

The only other time i've had it it was in my toe....and i did hurt. But the pills they gave me stopped it in hours...3 hours later my knee is still as bad as it ever was.
