LOL at people who grew up here who think Market Basket/Shaws/Stop & Shop are good supermarkets.

KWall and Mr. X, can I get an Amen?

that store has been in the works since '08 and won't open till fall 2011

i don't think anyone thinks Market Basket is good. Its probably the worst chain supermarket by far.

I despise supermarkets especially in the city. They are so fucking small and expensive here and filled with people who annoy the piss out of me. I've been doing fresh direct for a while

If you are below the 70's I'd say going cross town to Whole Foods @ Time Warner is worth it.

Great quote about Wegmans customer loyalty

“We see them as a huge draw,’’ said Douglass Karp, a vice president of the Newton-based firm. “They tend to attract people from almost 30 miles out.’’

About a month ago I was in that area and drove by the site.
The Orangemen are just a rock-solid, consistent winner that hasn't suffered a losing season since 1968-69.

I'm in the high 80s so I'm in the nosebleed section. But I do literally live across from George and weezy's deluxe apartment in the sky
