Yahoo – If you’re into loco weed, you happen to play for a team in Colorado or Washington state, and you think that the bills passed on Tuesday that allow the possession and use of marijuana apply to you … well, you might want to check on that. According to the NFL, there’s state law and the league’s collective bargaining agreement, and players should expect to heed the latter if there’s a dispute. ”The NFL’s policy is collectively bargained and will continue to apply in the same manner it has for decades,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told USA Today’s Lindsay Jones on Wednesday morning. “Marijuana remains prohibited under the NFL substance abuse program.”

How fast do you think Roger Goodell had to draft that memo? If that bill passed at 10:00pm, I think 10:01pm would have been too late.

Dear NFL Players,

Just a friendly reminder to all my ex-cons and future felons – just because these hippies in Colorado and Washington say you can smoke weed doesn’t mean you can! No matter what you think Obama may have done, you are still not allowed to do drugs freely.  I still have to keep over 1,600 guys alive and out of prison and letting you smoke weed whenever you want is counterproductive to that initiative. 

Lets remember to stay away from drugs, hookers, guns and dogs!
