Yahoo – A U.S. woman and her boyfriend shaved the head of her 12-year-old daughter and forced the girl to wear a diaper and run up and down outside their home because she wasn’t doing well at school, police said. Police arrested the two Monday night on suspicion of malicious punishment of a child. Lt. Mike Monsrud said they laughed as they were taken away and apparently didn’t understand why police had intervened. They told police they were punishing the girl because she had bad grades and failed to do her homework A crowd of about 50 people had gathered to watch the girl, who was wearing only the diaper and a tank top and was begging to be let back inside her home near Minneapolis. “When the officer found her, she was crying and hysterical,” Monsrud told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. The mother and boyfriend were in jail. The girl and three younger children were placed in foster care. The Associated Press is not naming the adults to protect the identities of the children.

I’m not gonna blabber about “pussification” or anything, but all I’m gonna say is you don’t know what goes on under that roof. You don’t know how much of an asshole that 12 year old girl might be. She’s getting bad grades, she doesn’t do her homework. She’s 2 steps away from cutting class and smoking cigarettes and 3 steps away from getting knocked up by the delinquent kid down the block who puts cats in microwaves. Its a slippery slope, folks.

I can remember being 14 and getting caught up in the wrong crowd. Grades started slipping, I got caught by the cops egging houses and drinking some Steel Reserve. Luckily for my parents I was a giant pussy and the old “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed” routine worked like a charm. My grandma looked me in the eyes and said “Stop being a bad boy” like I was 6 years old and I almost joined the clergy I felt so guilty. But maybe this mom and her Fat Albert boyfriend already tried that routine. Maybe they tried grounding her. Maybe they tried everything under the sun and the only thing left is shaving her head and public humiliation. I mean if there’s two ways to cut to the core of an adolescent girl, its to fuck with her hair and fuck with her popularity.

Well when the whole school knows you as the bald bitch in the diaper, I think the message of “Do your homework or I will ruin your life” will be received loud and clear.
