17 Year Old Alabama Golf Recruit Shoots A 57

Rollbamaroll - Bobby Wyatt, graduate of UMS-Wright in Mobile who is slated to join the Crimson Tide Golf Team this Fall, set history today in the second round of the 65th Boys’ State Junior Championship at the Country Club of Mobile. The 17-year-old (whose birthday is on Sunday) shot a 14-under 57 in what is believed to be the lowest round in competitive golf history. Wyatt shot had 12 birdies, an eagle and five pars Wednesday on the par-71, 6,628-yard course. The previous lowest score in competitive play on a golf course of more than 6,500 yards was a 58, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Wyatt needed 23 putts total and shot a 9-under 26 on the front nine. “I’ve played (the Country Club of Mobile) at least a thousand times,” Wyatt said to GolfWeek. “I was hitting the shots I’ve hit all my life. It really allowed me to just play shot by shot.” Wyatt is a 17-under 125 for the 54-hole tournament which finishes up tomorrow. If he holds on to win – he’s currently leading Smylie Kaufman by 8 strokes – it will be his fourth consecutive State Junior Championship.
So do you think this kid made the team? Reminds me exactly of sophomore year preseason trying out for the varsity football team. Fresh off an MVP season on JV I spent all summer speed training, weight training, everything training. Bulked up with like 20 pounds of muscle to get to 145. Shaved second after second off my 40. Lean mean gridiron machine. Then I showed up for tryouts, tripped during the 40, pulled a quad, ended up with like an 8.4, benched the weight they set up like 0.25 times, and lost my helmet after the first session of two-a-days. And that’s the story of how kmarko became the TWO-time back-to-back MVP QB of the JV football team.
PS- 12 birdies? As a general rule of thumb any time I get a legitimate birdie I just quit and walk off the course. It’s not going to happen again and it will save me the money on balls I’ll lose and clubs I’ll break.

And with a name like Bobby Wyatt, kid should be driving a stock car, not a golf cart.
Guaranteed this kid stays a virgin until he is out of college (Tiger Woods). Then he’ll go pro and have ambien sex with hookers (Tiger Woods). Wait… he’s from Alabama? Ohhh….. nevermind then…. he’s too dumb to make it all the way through school.
