Al Trautwig Breaks Character For Last Night’s Controversial No Goal
Ahh, when brutal calls beget brutal broadcasting! Trautwig’s a flaming homersexual, so it’s no surprise what side of the line he’s on. His disgust mirrors that of most every Rangers fan following last night’s last second no-goal. Was Gaborik pushed? Oh, most definitely. Volchenkov admitted as much after the game when he said, “I maybe pushed him a little, but I didn’t push so hard.” The Devils defenseman definitely holds back a bit towards the end of the play and that’s when Gabroik’s elbow conveniently makes contacts Marty’s head. “You hit goalie, you get a penalty” – Voly may speak with a thick Russian accent, but he doesn’t need a translator to speak the truth. When the zebras see that play at full speed, they’re going to call interference at least 80% of the time.
I’m honestly not worried about that at all as a Rangers fan. The Devils two wins over us this year are about as asterisked as a regular season triumph can get, so I couldn’t care less about their chirping. What about the other 59 minutes and 56 seconds of hockey played last night? Let’s direct the angst where it belongs – on the limp dick Rangers power play. It’s oh for everything in recent games, it can’t get pucks to the net, they’re looking for the perfect pass but winding up in their own zone for most of the two minutes. It’s flat garbage but they’ve been winning games regardless. Until last night, when the lifelessness finally caught up with them. Expect every Rangers trade rumor to be rooted in this probem, and unless Torts can make some effective changes fast, expect the problem to persist. @Osgood_StoolNYC
I love Torts and hes an amazing coach but our powerplay has been historically bad every year. Not that hes responsible for this but it is just something he obviously cant seem to improve on. The rangers should just bring in some “trainer” who specialty is just running an efficient powerplay
Well the Bruins had the most God awful power play last year and somehow managed to win the cup. With an awesome goalie and a team that can score, it Can still be done.

I’d probably be pissed at first too if the same happened to the Devils, but that call is gonna get made there every time. It’s the right call, Trautwig is a cockbag.
Easy interference call. That will get called every time. Unless you take a run at my boy Howard on the Wings. That, apparently, is perfectly legal.
true, this will be called goaltender interference 80% of the time, but the rules state that if he makes an effort to avoid contact and is pushed by a defender, it’s allowed. gab’s could have probably stopped if volchenkov hadn’t shoved him. he was trying to be right in front for the rebound, but volchenkov pushes him towards marty which is why gab’s clocked him. smart move on voly’s part because it does usually result in a goal being called off, but this is something that toronto should be allowed to review. as for the game, the powerplay is a huge problem, but they still were skating well against a hot team, and as much as I hate to admit it, that cockbag marty brodeur played lights out and probably deserved the shutout. I think the powerplay issue will end once staal’s 100% because from what I’ve seen, he’s still not all the way there. him and dz on the points, a big body like boyle’s in front, and richards and dubi working the sideboards/corners will lead to some goals. it wont be pretty, but hopefully effective.
ny whiners, as usual. rangers will be lucky to see round 2
rags fans whining? standard. Im gonna laugh when the devs finish the year further than the blueskirts. Kovy/Parise/Clarkson are straight fire right now and this team is clicking and getting better by the day
