Are The 2011-12 Giants The Start Of A Dynasty?

Real talk for a second. Not to get too ahead of myself but are we looking at the start of a new NFL dynasty with the Giants right now? Eli, Nicks, and Cruz are a better, younger Peyton, Harrison, and Wayne. Tuck and JPP aren’t going anywhere. Osi might come back. Terrell Thomas is probably back. The LBs can only get better. The O-Line can only get better. The running game can’t be much worse than it was this year. Nicks, Cruz, and JPP have their best years ahead of them. And in addition to Jerry Reese dominating the draft in April, they also add an extra 1st and 2nd round pick with healthy seasons out of Prince Amukamara and Marvin Austin next year. Why is nobody talking about what a goddamn genius Reese is yet?
Again, I’m still enjoying this Super Bowl and don’t want to look ahead too far, but last time the Giants won a Super Bowl they started the following season 11-1 and were about to repeat before Plaxico blasted a bullet into his fucking leg and ruined everything. As long as everyone keeps their guns in the holster and the safety switch to on, Giants might be playing for a 3-peat by the time the Super Bowl comes to The New Giants Stadium in 2014.
Honestly, no. Not with the Packers Saints and Niners in the same conference, along with the Eagles and Cowboys who will NOT suck as bad as they did last year. If they were in the AFC, then maybe. Not in the NFC.
Unless you Cuncel da saeson on them again you bandwagon faggot.
NO
They have a shot as long as the Eagles continue to implode and if Eli can take care of the ball like he did this year. Need to draft a RB big time though.
You think Eli is better than Peyton? Peyton has
Won 4 MVPs and owns multiple NFl QB records. Other
Than having 1 more ring than Peyton, he’s not even close to being on that level of playing.
Ya know I keep saying I’m not going to click on BSNY and read this insufferable horse shit, but I keep doing it. I know what I have to do now… goodbye cruel world… WELKER!!!!!
I bet Peyton would trade those MVPs and records for another ring in a heartbeat though. With that being said, no way the Giants are going on some dynasty run (and I am a big time Giants fan, just a realistic one).
Or they lost in 2008 because they ran into a team that got hot late in the season after just barely making the playoffs with 9 wins (which, eerily, sound like what the Giants just did this year). Then they missed the playoffs two years in a row. Dude, take your title and be happy but this dynasty talk makes you sound retarded. Everybody said the same thing about the Packers last year, and we know what happened there.
Colts were not a dynasty.
Scott, number 1 fucking rule of being a Giants fan. Don’t fucking jinx us dude. God fucking dammit bro, I defend you, I say your going to get laid, and then you go fuck us all in the ass by saying some shit like that. NOW TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW WE COULD JUST BOMB NEXT YEAR
so you’re telling me that the packers are a dynasty. Sports are all about who makes the playoff run. Not taking anything away from the giants win and their young talent but football is definitely one of the hardest sports to build a dynasty in espec. considering the number of back to back superbowl winners. Most abusd line I’ve ever read though Eli, Nicks, and Cruz are a better, younger Peyton, Harrison, and Wayne.
Huge giants fan but comparing Cruz and nicks to Harrison and Wayne after one great season is just silly. Can we just enjoy this one until the draft before we start thinking about a fucking dynasty Scott?
Hardcore Giants fan and my take is this. We won this year, we should celebrate this week only. You know Coughlin is going back to the drawing board and going to prep for next season. If that’s how they want create a dynasty, thats how you do it. Belichick did with the pats, Lombardi did with the packers, Ditka with the bears, and shula with the dolphins

Dynasty!?!? Bro you’re so fucking delusional it’s mind bottling.
With every post you prove that you know nothing about football. Eli Cruz and Nicks are definitely a great combo…but they have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the production of Peyton Harrison and Wayne. Both trios have 1 Super Bowl together. That Cots trio was deadly for YEARS not just 1 year. This coming from someone who hates the Colts!
Ur a fucking retard Scott. Both superbowls were a fucking fluke since ur shitty gmen got hot in the playoffs after barely weaseling there way in with 10-6 and 9-7 records. 9-7 ain’t gonna cut it the next few yrs in the NFC u fucking faggot. Now do us all a favor and find the nearest oven and jump in it u fucking kike piece of shit
You forget the Packers and Saints are in the NFC. Last I checked, the Saints plasted the shit out of the Gmen and you went 1-1 against the Pack last year. Looking WAY ahead of yourself.
You ARE getting ahead of yourself. Congrats on an amazing playoff run and super bowl win, but to be called a dynasty you have to do better than 9-7.
Scott, coming from a new Yorker , please take the key board you type with and throw it in the garbage.. You give Giants fans a bad name. In the last three days you said Eli was the best QB in the league.. He is borderline top five and comparing Cruz and nicks to Wayne and Harrison. Just terrible. Be realistic about your teams . Nobody can take the rings away but when you start flinging shit from your mouth about how they are the greatest you lose all creditablity

in all seriousness, this scott kid is one of the bigges fags ive ever witnessed, fits perfectly in the barstoolsports community. every sports post on this site is such garbage, just a bunch of homer fans bashing other city’s homer fans.
thought it was impossible but this scott kid has managed to out fag portnoy and KFC
Only the 4-5th best team in the NFC. Got on a good run and rode it. Next year maybe 8-8.
just amazingly bad blog
I’m starting to think the Giants fans & sports writers are learning “Homer-smack-talk” stupidity from Patriots’ fans. And remember, 95% of America hates the Patriots and they hate their fans. You don’t want to be like them.
Ummmm, I think in order to be a dynasty, you should be able to beat the Washington Redskins! What a joke! A 9-7 team who stole a game in Arizona to avoid 8-8, 27-21 over last 3 seasons. A dynasty?? How about an inconsistent above average football team who had a really good month!
#FireScott
Haters gonna hate. And jealousy breeds it. Hope you all enjoy your offseasons without a new Lombardi Trophy, Jets/Pats/Eagles/rest of the NFL.
NO.
With teams like NO, GB, DT, and to a lesser degree Dallas coming playing a high level, I don’t think a dynasty is all that possible. Eli is a good QB nonetheless, but I could name 3 or 4 that are better statistically. Eli did beat the 31st ranked D in the SB, so I wouldn’t start making Dynasty banners just yet.
I love the Giants, but this was purely a momentum run. We’re almost definitely going to lose some combination of Osi, Jacobs, Deion Grant, Aaron Ross and Manningham, all of whom played huge roles in getting the Giants their ring. I’m really excited to see what Prince can do with a training camp and a full NFL season (he should’ve been a top 10 pick, and was absolutely dominant at Nebraska) but we need to sign Michael Bush or Benson, and idk if we can afford them. Also need to plug up a very old oline, and our safeties are far from flawless. We’ll probably contend next year, with our pass rush and passing game, but I’d be surprised if we get another ring.
God I hate you Scott.
Yeah, just like that Colts dynasty with the one Super Bowl win? What the fuck are you even talking about? Seriously, you are fucking stupid.
the last time the Giants won the Superbowl they proceeded to go a dazzling 0-1 in the playoffs over the next 3 years combined…relax there, scotty
shut up you clown. NYG were 9-7 and streaked at the right time. Fuck you so hard for even asking that. Win a second in a row first. God, I hate you.
And the odds makers say….. 15-1
The 2013 Super Bowl XLVII odds:
Green Bay Packers 6-1
New England Patriots 7-1
New Orleans Saints 8-1
Philadelphia Eagles 12-1
Pittsburgh Steelers 12-1
Houston Texans 12-1
Baltimore Ravens 14-1
New York Giants 15-1
San Diego Chargers 16-1
New York Jets 16-1
San Francisco 49ers 18-1
Dallas Cowboys 18-1
Detroit Lions 18-1
Atlanta Falcons 22-1
Chicago Bears 30-1
peytonsucksballs seems to be the only one here that knows something about football.
“Eli, Nicks, and Cruz are a better, younger Peyton, Harrison, and Wayne.”
First of all, that is simply not true. no where near true.
second of all, the colts were never a dynasty, but good comparison
I guess I missed the part where Peyton, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne brought in anything close to a dynasty? I remembered TB12 and the rest of the pats kicking their ass numerous times in the regular season and the playoffs. So I hope Eli Hakeem Nicks and Victor flash in the pan Cruz follow in their footsteps!
All the giants have to do is win one more, ie as patriots fans acknowledge 3 in 4 years and you are a complete NFL dynasty to be remembered for all time and team of the decade. So I would say it is possible. To everyone saying that NO, GB, DT, SF are in the NFC and there is no chance, I’m pretty sure that the G-men played through ATL, GB, and SF, the last two on the road to win the last one, I think they’re pretty good, might be top 5, maybe if they win 3 in 5 years they’d be okay.
