MYFOXNY.COM – The basketball players at Malverne High School on Long Island are the ones who lost out, even though they won a game Tuesday night. No one was there to cheer for them when the game ended, because of a brawl that broke out. And it was all caught on video.  Suffolk County cops arrested a West Babylon man Wednesday in connection with the brawl.  A brawl between the fans caused a delay in the game between Malverne and Wyandanch high schools Tuesday night.    The melee involved the family of a star player on the Wyandanch team, causing senior Jorrell Pinckney to jump in.  ”Turns out he felt one of his family members was being threatened,” said Ken McCloud, the Wyandanch athletic director. “Not that we condone that type of activity but you know when your family’s being threatened, it’s like one of those reactions that anyone would probably have.”

Yawn.  Another day another Long Island high school hoops game ending in a no holds barred bare knuckle boxing brawl with Fat Albert and a shirtless player.  Nothing to see here.  It’s like  Rucker Park in Harlem.  The Cage on West 4th.  Orchard Beach in the Bronx.  Dyckman Park In Washington Heights.  Malverne High School in Nassau County.  All interchangeable when it comes to hardcore hoops action.   Wyandanch fans just consider yourselves lucky that nobody broke the piece of leg from the table and they threw it and it went through your heart and you died.  Right on the court.
