Delta Airlines Offering Rangers Fans With Tickets To Game 3 Free 17 Minute Flight To New Jersey

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Hey New York Rangers fans, need a lift to the game on Saturday? Delta Airlines is offering fans with tickets to game three against the New Jersey Devils a free charter flight that will leave LaGuardia Airport at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning for the 17 minute trip to Newark Airport. Ground transportation will be provided to the Prudential Center for the game and back to LaGuardia after the game. Rangers alumni are expected on the flight as well. Snacks, gifts and prizes are also part of the deal. “It’s obviously a very unique flight,” Delta spokesperson Leslie Park said. “We thought it would be a great way to get some buzz going and get some Rangers fans really excited for the game on Saturday.” Hopefuls had until noon Thursday to fill out a form on the team’s website. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans must have tickets to the game and be able to present valid identification.
What kind of fucking assholes take a chartered flight to go to a sporting event? Thats about as bougie as it gets. The actual Rangers are probably heading over in a bus and some of their fans are gonna be cruising at an altitude of like 200 ft, maximum speed of 80 MPH in a P.J. Makes sense.
You know how many Rangers and Devils fans are gonna be crammed into Penn Station Saturday morning, rushing for a NJ Transit train, all together praying these dickheads crash in the Hudson? Maybe not like a fiery death but like a Captain Sully situation where they land in the water and have to swim their asses to shore.
PS – If I’m a Devils fan and I see a bus load of Rangers fans getting off of a shuttle from their private jet I am throwing rocks at their faces. (Note: if anyone gets hit with rocks on Saturday I never said that)
PPS – This charter flight idea is actually awesome and I would have done it in a heartbeat if I had tickets.

it takes about 17 minutes to take the train from NY Penn to Broad St and grab the free shuttle from the station to The Rock and walk into the stadium buy a beer and get to your seat…these assholes will still be on the tarmac because no chance the airport gives these assholes priority takeoff
^ say assholes again asshole
Just take the Path train to Newark Penn, the airport is 20 minutes away from the Rock
Jack – take Njt to Newark Penn, not Broad st, and walk through the concourse. I probably just shaved 4-5 minutes off your commute.
jackofspades you are a douche
who wants to take a 17 min flight when you have to waste +2 hours checking in, going through security, waiting for takeoff, taxing to the gate, ect.? maybe itd be worth it if this was one of those Virgin Airline flights with the hot flight attendants but Delta? Id rather fly with the Wright Bros
you have to transfer in secaucus I think to get to Newark Penn…I’m always coming from Jersey…I think 2chainz is right that the PATH goes right there
Gentleman gentleman, as a private jet veteran let me explain there is no 2 hours of security and checking in and tarmac shit. You get on your plane and fly away. NJ transit is for poor people. PJs are the only way to go to NYC sporting events.
hey dickholes…its fucking 45 mins from penn station to newark on the path on a normal saturday when 10k ppl arent trying to go…youre looking at hour and a half easy…and youre crazy if you think you and the NYR alumni are going through normal security lines to get on this charter jet. def shuttle out to the runway and some gorilla with rubber gloves. this is def the way to go. genius and pompous as all hell. good for you delta
^^ 10k? this is hockey brah, the stadium only holds 17k. As a poor public transportation user, the path is the best way to go – easy walk to the arena. Or as jackofspades said, take NY Penn to broad st direct then take the light rail to newark penn – 10 minute ride
There are trains that go directly from NY Penn to Newark Penn with no transfer. And you can drink on them (As opposed to the PATH)
The NJ Coast line of the NJT from NY Penn station goes directly to Newark penn then just walk through the concourse right to the rock
2 chainZ, relax brah! intentional exageration. im fully aware 10 thousand ppl will not be commuting from midtown manhattan to the rock on saturday morning. some may even drive from somewhere in NJ! appreciate the attendance lesson though
A plane full Of ranger fans? Wheres al queda when you need em?
