If it wasn’t for the jersey colors and the empty netter looking different, I’d be sure we just watched a repeat of game one. Lundy stood on his head, scoreless through two, Girardi and Kreider put the Rangers up by a pair and just like that we’re watching Monday’s highlights again. Marty was again worthy of admonishing instant replays galore, but it was Hank who took the shutout because of a solid sixty minute effort. Breakaways galore, traffic in front, shots glove side – nothing could get past THE KING today…
But as much as this helps dictate good moods for Ranger fans all weekend, we can only assume another shitty performance is on its way for Monday night, right?. They have a Vezina and Hart candidate goalie, a couple proven veterns, a core of home grown talent and shutdown defense and the only reason they are still in it is because they finished the season with 109 pts and have beaten 2 teams in hard fought seven game series and find ways to win…..Now, before all the Ranger bashers that teams are golfing now shake your head and try to figure out how dumb that post sounds – exactly. sorry carmin but the kings have crushed 2 teams who would have competed with the rangers in any series in the canucks and blues. to say its a given that the rangers win the cup for sure after dismissing the devils is absurd. the kings underachieved all year and every real hockey fan knows(which im believing u are so u know this). they were pegged to compete early im the year and have been hot as hell down the stretch. not saying the rangers cant win, just not that its a given. my 2 pennies says the kings win though
