“Eric The Eel” Is One Of The Funniest Things I’ve Ever Seen
Has everyone seen this? Its from the 2000 Olympics in Sydney so obviously its real old but I just saw it for the first time and everyone I’ve been showing it to says they haven’t seen it either. So if you’ve seen it, good for you. If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat.
I guess every now and then in the Olympics they offer wild card spots for people from under developed countries and allow them to compete in qualifying races to try and encourage Olympic growth. So Eric “The Eel” Moussambani was chosen to represent Equatorial Guinea. Some little piece of shit Africa country with no pools or anything. The other two idiots false start so he’s just racing on his own. Takes him like 2 solid minutes to swim the 100 meter, just thrashing in the pool with his head above the water the whole time. At one point he basically stops in the middle of the pool. Pure comedy. Best part is he sets a world record.
