Greg McElroy Named The Starter Because The Jets Are Always One Step Ahead Of The Competition
ESPN – The New York Jets coach made the dramatic, but expected decision Tuesday, benching the only starting quarterback he’s had in four years. Ryan will give Greg McElroy his first career start Sunday at home against the San Diego Chargers. Ryan is expected to address the media at 4:45 p.m. The decision is a stunning blow to Tim Tebow, the No. 2 quarterback. The organization is concerned about the potential fallout from passing over one of the most popular players in the league, and Ryan may try to find a way to incorporate Tebow into the game plan, a source said.
Well how about that! Lets go with the hot hand! Sure the hand has probably cooled off significantly in the past two weeks that it was Inactive as the season came to an embarrassing end, but whatever. Rex and the guys make the tough decision just in the nick of time to be out of playoff contention but probably win the next couple games and get a shitty draft pick. Thats the sort of forward thinking we’ve all come to expect from the braintrust that is Woody, Rex and Tannenbaum.
Just gotta be the most mismanaged quarterback situation in the history of football. Not like Mark Sanchez was ever gonna be a stud but Jets management absolutely ruined him. Makes the Yankees yo-yoing Joba and Phil Hughes and ruining their careers look like incredible grooming. They destroyed any chance Mark Sanchez had to be the leader of this team – they destroyed Tim Tebow’s “career” and basically banished him to the sidelines – and now they turn to McElroy. Good luck Greg! You have the worst owner, GM, head coach and offensive coordinator in the NFL! That shouldn’t be too big of a deal though.

How pumped is sanchez – can collect 8.5 million next year and not worry about running into the back of his lineman, fumbling the ball and starting 2 of the most catastrophic moments of football.
Sanchez should have never started a game this season. Here’s a brilliant idea, if your starting QB sucks at football, let him walk and use the money you saved on extending his contract to sign someone halfway decent. The idea of throwing 20 million in guaranteed money at a guy who isn’t developing into a top tier starter is mind-boggling.
^^ you mean mind bottling bro
You’re welcome
Hey, Hey….don’t lump phil hughes in with your shitty jets qb. Phil Hughes still has a career in his sport
And the Jets torpedo the value of Tim Tebow. You’re not recouping the draft pick you wasted on him. By banishing him to the bench, you’ll lucky to get a 7th round pick for him.
What has McElroy ever done to deserve this?
I was all set to hammer the Chargers before I saw this.
contract da Jets, cuncel da franchise altogether
If Sanchez had been coached by Belichick for the past four years, he’d be the second coming of Tom Brady. True fucking dat.
You Jets fans saw this coming last year. Writing was on the wall big time. Sanchez should be going to better places. Tebow must be shitting himself. Dude just doesn’t have what it takes. Go help out some children in Cambodia Tebow.
The proof is in the pudding for Tim Tebow. He basically goes .500 at the helm by the grace of God last year in Denver. Then they throw the guy overboard, sign Peyton Manning, and now suddenly the same cast of characters are now a legitimate Superbowl contenders. Meanwhile Tebow is picking splinters out of his ass on the Jets, while he watches Mark Sanchez and Greg McElroy get all of the reps. Shame on anyone dumb enough to jump on the Tebow bandwagon last year (I’m looking at 90% of Jets fans).
enough with this they destroyed mark sanchez career crap.. sanchez was awful last year before the whole tim tebow crap. sanchez is just awful and always has been
KFC- you keep forgetting to mention the back to back thrashings in the afc chamionishp game shithead!
You Jet fans are total flip flopping fags. I love seeing KFC shit on the Jets when just 2 seasons ago, was talking so much shit on a dynsaty franchise. Not enough bad stuff can happen to your so-called “Fanchise”. Watching the jets fall so hard is nearly as good as my Pats winning 7 AFC titles since your last “1″. http://nyc.barstoolsports.com/m/random-thoughts/the-afc-east-is-on-the-line-live-blog/
