If You Haven’t Jumped Off The Cliff Yet, Step Back From The Ledge

If you’re a Jets fan who’s already splattered at the bottom of a cliff, I wouldn’t blame you. I swan dived off that shit face fucking first yesterday. I’m more concerned about this team from a talent and personnel point of view, because literally every person on the field sucks now. But, at the end of Week 4, here are the cold, hard indisputable facts:
The Jets are 2-2 with 2 AFC East wins tied for first place. Same record as New England and Buffalo. And thats all that matters right now. I think you can pencil in another massacre against the Texans next week. Should win the following week against the Colts. Lose to New England week 7. The big game for me is gonna be week 8 hosting Miami. I can no longer call that a game the Jets “should win.” But if they do they’ll be sitting at 4-4 heading into the Bye. Not like being a .500 team at the half way point is anything to puff your chest up about, but I’m just saying that if the next 4 games play out the way I think they probably should and will, the Jets are still in a manageable situation despite some truly, genuinely awful moments throughout the first quarter of the season.
Put looking at a schedule and penciling games is not the way football works. We all know that, and its especially true with the Jets. I’m not worried about matchups and the schedule, I’m worried about the team on the field. Mark Sanchez is done. Its probably 50% his fault, 50% the organization’s fault. Completely mishandled him in every way possible. No matter how you cut it, he plays like a guy whos scared and who feels he doesn’t have his team’s support. Zero running game, no threat in the air. Defense is old and flat out terrible without Revis. I’m not gonna sit here and re-hash everything I said in yesterday’s blog. Bottom line is, if you actually analyze the Jets as a team – not their schedule or their current standings – they’re fucked.
PS – People today are comparing the Jets situation to the Giants since Eli and company at the bottom of the NFC east with 2 division losses. While its true the Giants have put themselves in a bit of a predicament with their division play, to compare these two teams based on the standings after week 4 is laughable. There is no comparison. Watching Sanchez and the Jets struggle to amass 200 yards while Rex and the defense give up 500 a game versus Eli and that high octane offense slinging the ball all over while JPP, Tuck, and Osi are terrorizing quarterbacks – its like you’re watching 2 different sports.

Love the jets, hope Rex Ryan coaches them forever
you said it yourself, its clear they are a shit team, with not many bright spots or a hint of competativeness. gonna chalk this season up to the nyj organization personally hates me and my family
Same record as New England but really the Patriots should be 4-0 if it weren’t for the phantom hold call on Gronk and the missed field goal ruled as good by the fake refs. Keep dreaming. The Jets suck. Oh and please let the Fireman douche bag be the first to jump off said bridge.
KFC, serious question, what did you do when Santonio threw the ball at the 49ers? I’m thinking Walter White-ing your apartment looking for the strongest booze on hand and when your girl said she used the rest to make Margarhitas for girls night you just started laughing hysterically in a crawl space.
Good Job, Good Effort KFC nice rationalization, however, over here in reality we see the Jets for what they are, a magnificent pile of shit. You have no QB, no RB, no WR and your defense blows. Enjoy the rest of the season.
I bet Rex went home and fucked the shit out of some feet last night.
S
worst thing about the game yesterday is the SF offense didn’t even play that well..Smith didn’t even throw for 150 yds and Gore had less than 75 yds on 20 carries..
I’m surprised you didn’t embed a YouTube video of Thrd Eye Blind’s “Cliff Jumper,” considering the title of the post.
The Tebow circus has already started. Everyone saw this coming from a mile away, everyone except for the Jets front office that is.
Ok KFC that easy schedule is all well and good until it comes game time because you guys have NO offense….maybe you didn’t notice but you couldn’t even put up 3 points at home. The season is over….fucking jets fans
Watching Kyle Wilson give Manningham the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag was probably more embarrassing than seeing Holmes shred his knee and give the ball away for a TD. This trash bag is so bad that he resorts to passes being overthrown as his opportunity to brag. Dude got fuckin torched 3 times and got away with cheating. And Hollywood Sanchez can go eat a hot dog and ride the fuckin bench. This team is fucking garbage. Start Mcleroy in next week.
I love this mentality by the Jets fans. Hoping to maybe possibly be .500 at the bye week. Definitely keep the faith though, its totally gonna turn around any game now I swear. Is there any wonder why New England has owned the division for the last decade?
Jesus Christ you’re fucking bipolar. Yesterday they were fucking awful… today, guess what? They’re still awful. You beat the 1-3 Dolphins by a field goal BEFORE you lost your best player. You guys got smoked yesterday in every fucking way and I can’t wait for the Texans to put your shitty team out of its misery. Jets are hands down the worst 2-2 team WITH Holmes, if he’s done you might as well just save everyone the time and effort and forfeit the rest of the season.
one big blahhhhhhh this team
But, KFC, what about all those “intangibles” you mentioned last year when defending Sanchez?
KFC, you have to understand that every New Englander on this site is still 100% behind the Red Sox, and thus can call you out for doubting your team.
Hey MKF, most of us realized before the season started that the Sox were going to be dogshit. Eat a dick sideways, cunt.
remember when rex won NOTHING after his first two years as NYJ coach then wrote his memoir? those first two seasons were great runs, don’t get me wrong, but they did not win a division, conference or a SB. This WINNING prompted rexy to write a little book. In that memoir he said the jets would be better than the giants for the next decade. that was hilarious and he continued to dig and berate at the big blue during his tenure as coach. well karmas a bitch and I love watching the jets and rex squirm. enjoy 6-10. oh yea. sanchez and holmes are money well spent.
You cannot be a good team if your corner is your best player. Last time a team’s best player was their corner was the Raiders with Nnamdi Asomugha. How’d that work out for them?
