Kentucky Woman Bets 10 Cents On A Pick 6 At The Racetrack And Wins $63,000

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. - A Kentucky woman has won $63,000 at a New Mexico track after placing an online bet with a dime. The El Paso Times reports the 72-year-old Julia Kring, of Frankfort, Ky., won the bet last week when she hit the Solo Pick 6 at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. Kring had placed her bet through TwinSpires.com. Kring said she saw an ad for the Sunland Pick 6 and decided to take a chance on that racetrack that day. Kring said she initially thought that she won $32,000 for the 10-cent wager. But it doubled when one of her three horse picks in the first leg of the bet scratched, coupled with the favorite winning the same leg, gave her the winning combination.
Not a bad rate of return, huh?
You know what I love most about this story? Envisioning El Pres going to the track and blowing all of the Barstool Empire’s money because he’s a gambling addict while little old Grandma here turns a dime into a small fortune and doesn’t even realize whats going on. Some delusional old bird who still thinks its like 1920 and thinks a dime is still a lot of money picks out six horsies while she shits in her diapers as Dave Portnoy puts my salary on the line for one of his Mortal Locks. Walks out with 65 grand and heads off to a 3pm early bird dinner and a trip to the bingo hall.

this pisses me off. went to nola this past weekend $200 literally fell out of my pocket and lost the rest gambling. And this broad just turn a dime into thousands.
imagine if she coughed up a whole dollar for this bet? woulda walked away $630,000. this lady didnt win $63,000. she lost $567,000.
