My Thoughts Exactly

finger

(right after Utley’s 2nd Bomb)

Fuck Chase Utley and fuck Game 1.  That’s what greatness allows you to do. The past can be left in the past, and we move on to fight another day. You know why Mariano Rivera is the greatest postseason closer of all time? Because when he takes the ball, he isn’t thinking about Luis Gonzales in 2001. Having a short memory is the greatest weapon when it comes to the postseason. If the Yanks escape with a split, they are back at 0 for a short 3 game set in Philly, and I still like those odds.  The Yankees have won 110 games at this point in 2009 – no need to jump off a bridge because Cliff Lee tossed a gem last night.  So step off the ledge Yankees fans and get back behind the most resilient team in baseball.

Short memory! LOL! Riiiiight… you have a short memory when you are talking about all those 26 championships? Luis Gonzales and the 3-0 collapse don’t matter but championships from the 1920’s do?

Why start Pedro in Game 2 in NY? I suppose if he wins the Yankees are cooked but doesn’t it make sense to have the lefthanded Hamels try to neutralize the short right field porch?

JimmyD will you admit your concerned if the Yankees lose this one?

KFC/Kmarko you need to link that A-Rod choke video that’s up on Boston. I mean Jesus Christ, it’s not even his fault – he was born to lose*.

* – “Losing” applies to baseball championships only. I’d clearly like to “lose” and make millions while bending Kate Hudson over…

Kballs, Hamels is a different pitcher on the road vs at home this year. I agree with the Phillies thinking they have a better chance taking BOTH games (not saying it’s gonna happen, just saying the chances are better) with Pedro used to the Yankee Stadium pressure and Hamels more comfortable (and over a run difference in ERA) at home.

bobbyv you’re an idiot. he’s saying rivera has a short memory, and i doubt rivera has ever had to use the 26 past world series championship comebacks to some losers like you. learn how to read.

and no doubt, there is 7 games in a series. lets be serious.
