I don’t really give a shit about this old timer juicer, but I certainly hated his guts in his steroids prime. Would have loved to see him finally brought to his knees. But between all the inadmissible evidence and the entire case resting on the word of one scumbag drug dealer, I guess its not surprising.
No matter what you think about this trial and this verdict, one thing is certain – Roger Clemens is hands down one of the biggest assholes on the planet earth. That can’t even be debated. I don’t think I really even know one true “Roger Clemens fan.” Never heard someone say he’s their favorite pitcher. He’s gotta be one of the most unlikable athletes in the history of sports. I mean I know plenty of Yankees fans who no doubt loved his roided up Cy Young and that World Series ring he helped bring home against the Mets. I’m sure they loved the fact that he almost killed Mike Piazza, twice. But I don’t think I know one person who calls themselves a Roger Clemens fan. Oh wait. Whats that? How could I forget! Cue the motherfuckin music!

regardless of the trial’s outcome he will forever be up there on the Mt Rushmore of MLB juiceheads along side McGuire, Sosa, and Bonds (with honorable mentions to A-Rod and Manny Ramirez – who i believe is the only one of the group to actually get suspended for it. go figure)

i think i told this story before here, but it’s even more relevant now:
when i was growing up in boston, you could get bleacher seats at fenway for like 7 bucks, cuz it was like 1990 and the sox sucked balls. so we’d all try to get 15 dollars together and jump on the T and hit a game up, which was a huge adventure at age 11. anyway, blahblahblah, we’d get there early, try to get players to throw balls to us, talk to us, sign an autograph, whatever. i remember several occasions where i either witnessed, or saw the aftermath of, roger clemens telling some little kid who asked for his autograph “25 bucks.” this motherfucker CHARGED $25 for an autograph…and not to some grown man just looking to up the value of some piece of memorablia, i’m talking 7-,8-,9-,10-year old kids just wanting a glove or hat or card signed. half the time the kids would start crying, and this fuck didn’t give two shits. could’ve just as easily been me too, i just happened to witness it first and saved myself the embarassment of asking myself and being shot down.
