So 2 weeks ago was a MFing bloodbath for me and my Mets. Santana and company got lit up by the Yankees in the Bronx for a 3 game sweep, and on a personal note I lost my bet with Strasser The Pizza Boy Yankees Blogger. Now one day this summer I gotta do a ride along with him and deliver pizzas door to door in a Forever Lazy.

Thats all well and cute for round 1, but lets grow up and get rid of these JV wagers. Time to join the big boys and enter KFC’s Official Subway Series Showdown Tournament. This isn’t no “friendly wager, gentleman’s bet” nancy shit. We’re playing for cold hard cash. Its a 111 person, $10 entry, $1000 tournament. 1st place $300, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $150. And as an added bonus since all you idiots are so convinced you’re smarter than me, anyone who places ahead of my team (Fan Duel name: KFCBarstool) gets their $10 entry fee back.

The tournament is for tomorrow, Friday June 22nd. You have $35,000 to fill out your Fan Duel roster using teams scheduled to play tomorrow night. Its a Subway Series weekend but you can pick from all of MLB. Whoever scores the most points for this one night showdown is the winner. I’ll tell you right now I’m taking The Nose Jon Niese as my starter.
