I’ve been saying this all year but I didn’t mention it on the blog because I realize how lame and stupid it sounds to complain about a TV graphic. I sound like an old grandpa who can’t figure out the TV. But I’ve heard enough Mets fans complain now that I’m not alone.

You know how many times I’ll flip to the game and casually look at a game like this and think the Mets are up 6-1? Only to realize its only a 2-1 game in the 6th. Why would you put the innings right in the middle of the score, and make the innings number the same exact size and font as the runs? And why would you choose to make the balls and strikes count the little dots and make the outs the number? If you tune into a game and see the 2 red dots lit up you think there’s 2 outs in the inning when really its just 0-2.

I know its stupid but when you’re at the bar or flipping between multiple games and you glance at that graphic it fucks your shit up. Especially if you’ve been drinking. And the worst part is you just know its some tech geek who decided to change it up for shits. Now idiots like me and senior citizens everywhere think every game is a 9-1 blowout even though its just 1-0 in the 9th.
