Yankee Stadium does not have 51K seats. Its capacity is 52K and that includes SRO. MLB shouldn’t be playing games in the Northeast, Detroit, Chicago, or Cleveland this time of year anyway. Anaheim is on the road. Fucking stupid

The population of NYC is over 8 million. Say half of them are Mets fans (which they aren’t) and that’s 4 million people to fit in Yankee Stadium. The population of Boston is a shade over 600,000. So selling out 37,000 seats is far more impressive than not selling out 51000 (ON OPENING DAY? YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?)
