You whiny Yankee hating cunts see this game tonight? Perfect example of why they’re the Yankees and why your team isn’t. Down 3 runs, down 5 runs, tie game, doesn’t matter. Because the Yankees know they’re never out of any game. Fucking ice in their veins and swagger up to HERE. They don’t panic. They don’t freak out. They wait patiently like a lion in the grass, biding his time for the right moment to pounce and eat the fuck out of its prey. And not only did the Yankees eat the fuck out of the Rangers, they tore the heart out of every redneck Texas fan in that stadium Indiana Jones-style and in just 1 inning took back complete control of this series.
And look at how the Yankees scored those runs in the 8th. Amazing infield hit by Gardner to start it off. A double for El Capitan. Back to back walks for Swish and Tex. Single from A-Rod. Game-tying single from Cano. Game-winning single from Thames. Nobody tried to do too much. Just take what the pitcher gives you and let the guy behind you do his job. You can complain all you want about the payroll, but that was fucking team baseball as it was meant to be played right there. And that kind of ball is what wins championships folks.
And you can’t say enough about the work the bullpen did tonight. 5 shutout innings after CC clearly didn’t have his best stuff. But Joba and Moseley stepped up big time before Wood and Mo could do their thing. And Kerry Wood, I would like to formally extend an invitation to you to be the official set up man for Mo and the Yankees for the next 3-4 years. Sign on the dotted line whenever you’re ready my man. All those guys stepped up, kept the Yankees in the game, and BOOM goes the dynamite, the Yankees are up 1-0 in the ALCS.
P.S. CC only threw 93 pitches tonight. Start him Game 4 now instead of Burnett?

Great game and comeback. The Rangers have no shot. Shit, Jeter and Arod make more than the entire Ranger roster. Think about that. The Yanks bought this one when they went out and signed CC and Tex a couple years ago. The Fightin Phils don’t have the payroll either (about half of the Yanks) but they are a much better organization so they got a shot. That’s what I’m rooting for. Either way, congrats to NY, when you pay that much, you better win. Nice job.

What’s great is they’re gonna get Cliff Lee this offseason too. Can’t say “payroll doesn’t matter” when they buy the best players every offseason, right? They can start a dynasty I think. That’s pretty cool. MLB needs dynasties. And maybe this one will be legit – not built on steroids like those 90s teams. It’s sad that most of America doesn’t consider those titles anymore since they were tainted. I dont blame the Yankees for spending a shitload of money every year. Every team would do the same if they were the biggest market. Will it eventually ruin baseball? Probably, but until the rules change to make things equal, i dont fault them one bit, spend away.
