NY Post – New York City’s homicide rate is rising as fast as its sweltering temperatures. There have been a staggering 16 murders in the past five days — including seven since Friday night. They have claimed a variety of victims, including children, clubgoers, a shopkeeper and a husband. While murders are still on pace for a record low, at 193 so far this year, Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. (D-Queens) called the situation a “brewing cauldron of trouble.” “People are legitimately alarmed for what the future holds,” Vallone, chairman of the council’s Public Safety Committee, said, noting the NYPD’s dwindling force.

Summer time and the dyin’s easy! We got AK-47′s. Face slashing. Murder/Suicides. 7 murders in 8 hours. Now you’re in New Yorrrkkk, concrete jungle where dreams are maddeeee offff! Theres nothing you can’t do!
Except stay alive when the temperature hits 100 degrees. Just too fuckin hot for people these days. If I was poor and didn’t have air conditioning I probably would have murdered people too. Thats why you just gotta get the fuck out of Manhattan when the summer time hits. I mean I always say I can’t imagine staying in the city during the summer but thats generally because I’m saying everyone should go out to the Hamptons or down the Jersey shore to party and get laid. But now I fuckin mean it – I can’t imagine stayin in the city during the summer because I don’t wanna get shot in the goddam neck.
