Video Game Collection Consisting Of Every Nintendo And Sega Game Sells For $1.2 Million

NEWSER) – A 7,000-strong collection of video games—which includes every game ever made for the Sega, Nintendo, and NEC consoles, all factory sealed—just sold on eBay for $1.2 million, reports the LA Times. “Andre,” a 32-year-old based in Paris, has been selling video game collections online for years, but this is the first time he tried anything so ambitious. “What I put on eBay is just a part of my collection,” said Andre. “I still do have thousands of other games that I didn’t put there.” The collection included every game for obscure gaming systems, such as Nintendo Virtual Boy, the Sega Dreamcast, and the Sega Genesisin. Andre believes that there are only eight copies of Kunio-Kun Dodgeball Gold ever made, and two copies left in the world of one Genesisin game, Go-Net; but both games were included in his set. No wonder he was able to find a Canadian buyer willing to fork over €999,999.99, or $1,230,699.99, for the collection, plus $1,230.70 for shipping. “Now that the mission is complete, maybe it’s time to move on.”
The nerd in me just had an orgasm. A big old, Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start, Peter North money shot. Like when people ask me if I won the lottery, what would be the first thing I’d buy, the answer is shit like this. I don’t even know why. Just something about being Lord of the Nerds that would satisfy the fuck out of me. The reality of the matter is I would probably just end up playing Mega Man 2, Contra and Mike Tyson’s Punch Out over and over and over again while 6,997 video games sit completely untouched, but just knowing that I could play whatever I want would make me happy. Every underrated NES game you ever played at your finger tips. My Top 5 Underrated Nintendo Games are as follows:
1. Super Dodge Ball
Only dodge ball video game I can think of. One of a kind. Also Iceland was damn near impossible to beat.
2. Karate Kid
Chopping the ice blocks, catching the fly with the chopsticks, and jumping over that swinging spiked anvil thing was fucking unreal.
3. Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
Looking back it seems a little gay to play Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers but whatever this game was fire.
4. Skate or Die
To this day, skating goofy foot on Skate or Die is probably the most difficult thing I’ve ever done in a video game.
5. Duck Tales
Hands down the most underrated Ninetendo game of all time. I would have paid $1.2 Million just to make sure I got Duck Tales and threw out the other 6,999. Bouncing around on Scrooge McDuck’s cane killed it.

or you could just download the NES and Sega emulators and every game ever made for $0.00 in about an hour
Fuck, Skate or Die and Duck Tales brings back great memories. RC Pro Am
What about Rad Racer or Excitebike – I used to lose my mind when the bike overheated
It would have been sweet if you had Solomon’s Key on your list. Am I the only nerd who fucking loved that game…
Pokey – Where do I find these emulators
Cant forget the Beast on Holyfield’s Real Deal Boxing
Mctrippy my Solomon’s Key stopped working one day randomly. No matter how much we blew into it and cleaned it and pressed reset and shit. Just stopped. My brother told all of his friends it was broken because I pissed on it. No idea why he told them that, but it stuck. From then on the always made fun of me for pissing on Solomon’s Key. Hated that game ever since.
fuck I forgot about Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers… I fucking loved that game.
Clash at Demonhead and Megaman 3 were my fuckin JAMS, aside from the Mario games.
Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck ALL DAY.
I probably wasted an entire year of my life playing Bill Elliott’s NASCAR Challenge.
What about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game? I used to wear that shit out.
seeriously… i was scrolling down and before i got to the bottom said “Duck Tales better be on this list”… well done
Roger Rabbit, River City Ransom, Track and Field, The Simpsons Alien game, Back to the Future …. BANG

CONTRA was the best game ever! i agree with Goddy77, wow
@kingblackdude
Nothing was more exciting than getting the mini sub in JAWS!
Mega Man 2 was the truth. I’d be more likely to go for a full SNES collection though. Then we are getting into some serious shit.
All NES conversations start and end with tecmo super bowl. assuming that didnt make this list because its universally accepted as one of the best video games of all time and thus cant be deemed “underrated”.
Turtles 3, Streets of Rage, RC Pro Am, Bubble Bobble, nintendo world cup
wow no mention of duck hunt to be found. chip & dale was a great call though.
Strike that, contra is number 2. Fuckin Techmo Bowl is 1. But thats a given
