Gawker – Jasheem Smiley of Williamsburg says he was on a southbound 4 train early Sunday morning when he saw a man sit down next to a sleeping woman and sexually assault her in full view of other riders. “This guy gets on at 96th Street, and the look on his face was just so suspicious,” Smiley told Gothamist. “He gave her a look like he knew her or something, and I turned the music off in my headphones to hear what was going on. When he started touching, her that’s when I turned my camera on. My jaw dropped. I had never seen anything like this before.” After capturing a few seconds of the assault on camera, Smiley and a fellow passenger tried to put an end it by yelling at the man and alerting the victim, but to no avail. It wasn’t until the man tried to pull the woman closer that she finally awoke and ended his assault by punching him hard in the cheek. According to Smiley, the woman, who did not appear to be under the influence, got up and exited the train at the following station. After Smiley showed the footage he recorded to the conductor, she promptly stopped the train, but the man had already made his escape by then. An MTA detective is reportedly investigating the incident.

Shout out to the dude who took the time to get some youtube footage while I was getting fingerblasted unknowingly! Like hey Jim Cameron I’m happy you got your shot but maybe next time your first reaction should be to save my pussy instead of letting this guy get an extra 15 seconds of foreplay. I mean I don’t know who’s worse – the molester, the chick sleeping on the subway in a skirt, or the dude filming it all going down.

I get that its clear this dude just filmed to get some proof and according to the story he helped out but still I think its weird. Its actually probably smarter to do it this way but my first reaction would be “Hey get your fingers out of her vagina!” not “wheres my camera?” And girls for Christ sake don’t fall asleep on the subway. I’m not saying anybody deserves to have that happen to them, but the fact of the matter is creepers like this exist and are always lurking. Personally if I was a chick I wouldn’t take the subway, ever. I’ve got a dick and balls and I still avoid it like the plague. If I was a target I’d never go down into that tube of terror.
