Youtube - A Vietnamese airline has been fined for hosting a mid-flight dance by bikini-clad beauty pageant contestants without first gaining permission. Low-cost carrier VietJet Air was fined $1000 by the nation’s aviation authorities for organising the Hawaiian-themed dance to celebrate its maiden flight between Ho Chi Minh City and the tourist hub of Nha Trang, the Tuoi Tre newspaper said.

Been there … factoid regarding my trip to Na Trang and Ho Chi Min city? The service was spectacular. When I say “spectacular”, this one is not talking about the finest restaurants or hotels in the world; the service in Vietnam was better. That said, I think it was all about the staff at all the places we stayed being terrified that their service was not perfect. I have travelled a lot around the world and I have never seen that level of fear in the eyes of any employee at any establishment like the ones I saw in Vietnam.
