Yankees and Kuroda Agree to One Year Deal
ESPN- Free-agent right-hander Hiroki Kuroda has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Yankees, sources told ESPN The Magazine’s Buster Olney. The contract is worth $15 million, plus incentives that are worth less than $1 million, the sources added.
Ain’t no way his NL West bullshit is gonna translate to the AL East. No shot he’s worth the contract. No way.
Worked pretty well last time… figure I’d go for it again.

I would like to have relations with todays smokeshow
Strasser you are insufferable. I’d rather get tag-teamed by Neil and Colby Burnett than have to read another one of your Yanks blogs.
When I think of strasser I think of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S90VPU62_FM
Can someone change the admin password so Strasser can’t blog anymore. Christ u suck
Nice to see that know-nothing of a GM, Cashman, up to his old tricks by throwing money at pitching since he hasn’t drafted any pichers that may made a huge impact in the majors. We’re talking 13 drafts he has failed exceedingly in that area.
And no, Yankee bootlickers, Phil Hughes has not made a hige impact in the majors, unless your referring to the NEGATIVE impact he has on the Yankee bullpen after throwing four or less innings during the vast majority of his starts.
Take pitchers out of the equation: who has this clown drafted other than Cano that has made a difference???
Shut the fuck up voice. Well known in the mid2000s Yankees traded prospects and gave up a lot of picks to sign whoever was the hot free agent that day. Lately cashmans been given more of a budget and more leeway to develop prospects. As a result the yanks now have 3 STUD prospects in the pipeline in betances banuelos and Pineda with a couple more a few years away. Joba and Hughes were mismanaged but don’t put the yanks not having pitching prospects on cashmoney.
God the Giants are so much better than that crappy team. That’s real player development. Rookie of the yr, NL MVP, best pitching staff, ever. Plus it’s just good to know the majority of your success is attributed to chemistry and teamwork. Not a ten figure payroll.
Clarification – Buster also being NL ROY couple yrs ago..obviously not this yr. he was MVP this yr. he got that award right after the giants bukkaked all over the best the AL had to offer.
First off, Cano wasn’t drafted, he was an IFA. And Toolazy is your typical know nothing Yankee fan. Betances isn’t even considered a prospect anymore. He’ll be 25 next season coming off a horrible year where he had an era just under 7. And he has major shoulder issues on top of that which caused him to be shut down early. He’s never been able to locate his pitches and its only gotten worse as hes aged. Your other “stud”, Manny Banuelos, only pitched 24 innings last year because of elbow issues. And he’s a fucking midget – 5’10″. The team always worried about him breaking down cause he doesn’t have a major league body and last year seemed to be proof of that. Finally, if you are optimistic about Pineda, you’re a fucking fool. There is a reason Trader Jack sold early on him and only Cashman was dumb enough to buy damaged goods. Why are Yankee fans so fucking ill-informed about their own team? Can’t sell out their stadium in the playoffs and don’t even know their players. Embarrassing.
I’ll give you Betances – he projects as nothing more than a power arm out of the pen. Banuelos – not so fast. When did height become a prerequisite for being an effective MLB starter – last I checked Pedro, Johan, and lincecum have all had decent careers with small frames. Rivera called him one of the best prospects he’s seen, but I’ll defer to you on this one. Pineda – crap shoot. If his recovery goes well, he projects as a future 2/3. If not, he’s done. Kinda sad in a way. Toolazy’s comment was idiotic, but every team has it’s good and bad re; fans. For someone who obviously considers himself a baseball savant, I’d think you’d understand that.
